Grant Monies Issued We at Mon Valley Paws will continue to review the applications to award grants to qualified seniors asking for assistance to offset their veterinarian bill. Beginning in January of this year to the present date, 7 senior grants in the amount of $200.00 each were issued for veterinarian checkups. Emergency Grants were also released for three applicants. The first was issued for a dog hit by a truck. The second assisted in the payment for a procedure needed to clear a blockage of a foreign object ingested by a dog. Third, was a tail amputation due to being caught in a house door. Emergencies tend to be more costly resulting in a grant of $500.00 for each incident. There are guidelines and protocols applied to each situation.
Shelters & Rescues Food, treats, blankets and the like have been collected and donated since January. To date 987 pounds have been distributed to our four shelters and three private homes. We continue to accept donations and disburse to the needy. If you have any items to donate or need any items, please reference monvalleypaws.com to contact the necessary persons.
