Pet Spotlight of the Month – March

Despite his young age, Rodger displays a demeanor that defies his youth. His
thin, undernourished body is a stark reminder of his struggle for survival. He
spent most of his days roaming empty streets and nights huddled in tight
corners, trying to keep warm.
Rodger’s solitude ended when an animal control officer picked him up. He spent
nearly a month in a regulated environment, a stark contrast to his free roaming
past, much of that time confined to a small crate.
When Pet Adoption League finally got to Rodger, we were touched by his
resilience and heart-shaped nose, symbolizing his loving spirit. Our team
continues to work tirelessly to nurse him back to health, providing all the
necessary nutritional supplements and health checks to ensure that Rodger
continues to get stronger daily.
Rodger’s journey has been one of hardship. Weathering the severe western
Pennsylvania winter, fending for survival, and narrowly escaping the Parvo
outbreak, Rodger has shown us what it means to be a fighter. But his fight isn’t
over yet. He needs to fully recover and finally find the loving home he deserves.
With the help of Mon Valley Paws and all of their gracious donors we are closer
to Rodger living the life he truly deserves.
