THIRD ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF OUTING

BUTLER’S GOLF COURSE

Mon Valley Paws welcomed 32 teams of four to participate once again at Butler’s Golf Course. The skies were littered with billowy clouds and ample rays of sunshine. Temperatures were mild, and spirits were high, a golfers dream day. At registration numerous options were available for them to partake in a chance on the putting green, purchase half the take, become the proud owner of a Mon Valley Paws T-shirt and other golf options.  Baskets galore enticed them to gamble on winning such items exhibiting excellent golf packages, countless dog treasures and beverages of the high-octane kind. As it drew near start time, the golfers proceeded to their assigned carts and at 2 PM sharp began the shotgun journey onto the greens.

Once again I was able to motivate my way throughout the course enjoying the company of conversing with the team members. They were very gracious in allowing their pictures to be taken and indicated the right path for me to drive to the next tee box. The tenth Hole eatery was popular as a resting place to grab a bite to eat or drink before moving on to the second half of the course. Discussions again among the golfers were positive and pleased the event was once again held at Butler’s Golf Course.

As each team completed their last round, they proceeded to the banquet room. Scores were given and tallied as an enjoyable dinner was offered on the buffet table. During this time basket winners were announced and distributed along with the half the take. Winning teams were announced and awarded. Abundant pictures were taken and can be found on Mon Valley Paws’ Facebook page

It takes many people to make this day a success. A special thanks goes to Butler’s Golf Course, Byron Balco and Helen Bergman and the staff for inviting MVPaws to hold this event and going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We had a pleasure working with you. All the MVPaws volunteers had done an exception job! Lastly, without the tremendous efforts and organizational skills of putting this day together and becoming a high success, we wish to thank Jess and Alex for another triumphant time. Their persistence added an additional $10,000 plus to the Mon Valley Paws funds. Mon Valley Paws wishes to acknowledge the following Persons/Businesses for their sponsorship/donation to the activity.
