National Feed a Pet Rescue Week is held to raise money to feed cats, dogs and other animals at local rescue shelters. One of the biggest expenses that animal rescue shelters and rescue groups have is the cost of feeding the animals they are trying to help.
This event is designed to provide food to the shelters and groups so that their funds can be allocated elsewhere, such as vaccines, medical care, adoption programs, and more.
During this week, pet lovers everywhere can support the feeding of these homeless pets by giving donations through various websites or even donating to the local animal shelter. It’s horrible to think about, but it’s estimated that there are over 6 million homeless animals in America that are taken in by United States animal rescues yearly.
National Feed a Rescue Pet Week is a week filled with kindness and compassion towards our most unfortunate pets. It’s that heart-warming time of year when we join forces to fill the pantries of animal shelters, ensuring our pawsome friends aren’t left wanting. It is held every year during the third week of July. MVPaws mission is to raise funding/food to assist shelter/rescues not only for the week but throughout the year. If you can during this week and anytime thereafter, donate to our following four partnered shelter/rescues. As They Come Animal Rescue, Southwest PA Pugs With Special Needs, White Oak Animal Safe Haven and Pet Adoption League. Your favorite local animal shelter and any rescue centers in your area will be glad to accept donations, whether it’s food or money, any time of the year. Your kindness and support are appreciated not only by the people managing the shelters but all the hungry mouths being fed.
