BIRCH AND RENA

“Birch is a young stray chihuahua mix who was hit by a car as he ran across a busy road. A bystander called me to assist and meet them at the ER, where I handled his care. An ambulance brought him to the ER, and due to the extent his injuries, his care became quite costly. His pelvis was broken, and he had a lot of bruising in his lungs and was required to be on oxygen. Luckily, Mon Valley Paws stepped in to contribute to his care! He does still need another surgery to repair a couple of fractures on his pelvis but is currently doing great.
At the time of this writing, Birch’s previous owner relinquished the dog to a foster home and is now recuperating with a foster family. He still needs surgery to repair his pelvis. Mon Valley Paws thanks Rena Kennedy for her kindness and generosity caring for this precious pup. Good luck in your recovery Birch.
