Eternity Pet Memorials

This is an important message to all people who have used the services of Eternity Pet Memorial for cremation services for their beloved pets. The following article has the necessary information, and updates will be posted on this website, htpp://www.attorneygeneral.gov/epm/.
On April 28. 2025, the Office of Attorney General filed criminal charges against Patrick Roy Vereb, 70, of Pittsburgh, PA.
Vereb is the owner of Eternity Pet Memorials. Vereb offered pet owners cremation and burial services for their departed pets.
Vereb is charged with Deceptive Business Practices and Theft by Deception for failing to provide these promised services and failing to return the proper ashes to their rightful pet owners.
The OAG will continue to provide the public with any updates on the status of this case, through this website. Please check back on this site to obtain the most recent case information.
Current Status of Case:
The Defendant has waived his right to a preliminary hearing. That means the Defendant is not challenging the evidence at this stage. This is not an admission if anything. This means that all of the charges will proceed forward to the Court of Common Pleas. When there is a new court date in this matter, that information will be shared on this site.
The OAG has determined that the victims in this criminal case were walk-in and direct-pay clients of Eternity Pet Memorials, as well as pet owners from 20 veterinarians/businesses. This only involves the time frame from 2021 through 2024. If your pet was sent for cremation under this specific criteria, please select the correct option below and fill out the form. If you do not have or use email, please try to provide us with an email address for someone who can relay information to you or check back on this website periodically for updates.

Our prayers and sympathies are offered to Mandee Kozar who received grant money for her cat Booker. She found her as a stray and when having her spayed it was discovered a polyp was in its throat requiring emergency surgery. She stated the grant monies for the surgery did give him a fighting chance but ultimately he was just too sick to survive.
