August sizzles with summer fun and offers plenty of ways to celebrate the animals in our lives. This month has several dates to admire and spoil all of our black cats. Black cats are often depicted as sly, sneaky and always the witch’s cohort at Halloween. If you are a lover of cats, you know cats are all about playful energy, heartwarming licks, and are purr-fect at pulling your heartstrings. Also observed this month is remembering precious moments of love for pets we’ve lost. Whether spoiling your pooch, showing appreciation for service animals, maintaining immunizations, or participating in local shelter events, August encourages us to celebrate pets and give back to the animals who need it most.
