Pet Spotlight of the Month – September

Wookie and Tristan Todd

“When we decided we wanted another dog, we looked at many different humane societies. While searching, we came across this picture of a small puppy at the Greensburg Humane Society. When we saw him sitting for the picture with his little tongue sticking out, we knew he was the one for us. We filled out the application, and they called us to set up a meet-and-greet. The night before our appointment, they called us and said that they had to inform us that Wookie had been seen previously by 5 other families, with each one passing over him. They did not give us specific details of why those families passed.

We told them we didn’t care, and that we still wanted to meet him. The next day, we arrived at the humane society, anxious to meet Wookie. When he saw us he ran over and jumped on each of us. There was no doubt in our minds that he was coming home to be part of our family. That day, Wookie became Wookie Todd and brought happiness and joy to our lives.”
